An 18th C. "Fleur de Pêcher" marble sink

An exceptional rectangular marble sink of striking, almost contemporary design. Carved out of a beautifully veined "Fleur de pêcher" marble, once quarried in Southern France. Shallow basin of 9cm / 3.54" depth at the back and 5,5cm / 2.16" at the front. Two exceeding lateral drain boards, featuring a moulded rim. One superfical crack on the right drain board, not affecting the structure though. Good condition, wear consistent with age and use.
