a mid-18th century, Dutch limestone sink

ON HOLD

Reference N°:

330

A rare mid-18th-century Dutch rectangular sink carved from Petit Granit limestone, a dense, fossil-rich blue-grey stone renowned for its exceptional durability and resistance to wear. The sink features a finely carved bolection edge along the front and sides, with hand-chiseled surfaces throughout. The basin floor is smoothly finished and gently slopes towards the original drain opening.

The sink displays an attractive aged patina, with minor edge chips and gentle wear consistent with its age. Otherwise in excellent condition, it is free from cracks and remains structurally sound, watertight, and fully functional.
