A substantial 17th-century French scallop-shaped stone sink, beautifully hand-carved from mellow-toned Pierre de France. The deeply sculpted shell form and softly weathered surface give the piece exceptional character and a wonderful sense of age.

The interior has a smooth, gently worn finish and excellent water drainage, making it both a striking decorative feature and fully usable. Excellent condition, with no cracks or breaks; some natural wear to the exterior is entirely commensurate with centuries of use.
