Rare 18th-century oval marble font, carved from black “Cihigue” marble. The font features a distinctive bulbous body with a substantial rounded rim and a dovetail-shaped projection at the back, originally designed for insertion into and secure mounting within a wall.
The marble displays a beautifully aged and naturally worn surface, consistent with centuries of use and handling, giving the piece an authentic and highly decorative character.
