An outstanding 17th century marble sink. The sink was rescued from a town house in Lacaune, Southern France, a former stop for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Probably the reason why the front side is adorned with a beautiful sculpted scallop shell. The sink has some wear consistent with age and use. An unobtrusive loss on the front rim. Generally good and sound condition. Checked on watertightness.
