A rare, 18th century Breccia marble sink

An 18th century, oblong marble sink with oval, central basin. Carved out of a highly decorative French breccia marble. The marble has a natural weathered surface. Some wear and small losses on the body. The surface of the bottom of the sink is smooth and allow a perfect drainage of the water. No cracks or breaks, structurally sound and water tight.

Rescued from a town house in Prades, Southern France, ca. 1750
