An exceptionally rare, rectangular marble sink with four rounded corners. Carved out of the beautifully veined, dark brown "Marquise" marble, once quarried in the North of France. Nicely chiseled finish on the body. Some wear on on the body and upper edge of the sink, consistent with age and use (please refer to pictures). A few small losses on the lower edge on the right. Otherwise in very good, usable condition. The bottom surface of the sink is smooth and allows a perfect drainage of the water. Structurally sound and water tight.
