A rare, scallop shaped oval marble font. Comes as a pair with font n° 226 https://www.themarbledog.be/items/226

In very good, usable condition. Some wear, chips and losses on the body (please refer to pictures). Structurally sound, no cracks or breaks. The inner surface of the basin is smooth and allows a perfect drainage of the water. The font was carved out of a soft grey marble showing the inclusion of white fossils and crystals.
