A NICELY WORN, EARLY 19TH C. DUTCH CORNER SINK

A rare, quarter circle corner stone sink. Nicely carved bolection moulding on the front. The inner and outer surfaces have been finely chiseled. The sink was carved out of black "petit granit" limestone, showing the typical inclusion of small shells and fossils. Some light wear on the upper edge and bottom surface of the sink, consistent with age and use. Otherwise in excellent, usable condition.

Salvaged from a town house in Gouda, Holland, ca. 1800
