A small, mid-18th century, Dutch limestone sink

A nicely worn, rectangular mid-18th century scullery sink. Carved out of black "petit granit" limestone, featuring white veins and small fossils. Typical Dutch moulding on the body with finely chiseled surface. Some unobtrusive wear on the front upper rim. A few, small losses on the edges. No cracks or breaks, structurally sound and in usable condition.

Salvaged from a town house in Dordrecht, Southern Holland, ca. 1750
