A large , 18th century "Ste. Anne" marble sink

A large, rectangular marble sink carved out of a beautifully veined "Gris de Ste. Anne" marble, once quarried in Southern Belgium. The sink has a slightly sunken drain board on the top, surrounding a central, oval basin. A simple "cavetto" moulding adornes the front.  Chiseled finish on the front and lateral sides. Some wear on the drain board, one small loss on the lower front side. Otherwise in excellent, usable condition. The inner surface of the oval basin is smooth. No cracks or breaks, structurally sound.
