A rare, early 18th century octagonal marble basin with faceted, tapered body. Several small chips and losses on the upper edge and on the "rope" motif on the body (please refer to pictures). Two ancient fixation holes at the back. Structurally sound, no cracks or breaks. The inner surface shows some wear but is smooth.
