A rare, 18th century "Rouge de Rance" marble sink

A substantial, rectangular marble sink with beautiful bolection moulding on the front. In very good, usable condition. Some wear on the front and top edge of the sink. A few losses on the front, lower edge (please refer to pictures). The lateral sides are roughly hewn, as they were originally walled in.

The inner surface of the sink is smooth and allows a perfect water drainage.

Structurally sound, no cracks or breaks and perfectly water tight. Drain hole slightly widened to adapt to modern standards.

Rescued from a town house in the city of Liège, Belgium, ca. 1750
