A RARE, 17TH CENTURY FRENCH MARBLE SINK

An outstanding, rectangular marble sink with bowed front and oval basin. Beautifully carved scallop motive on the front. Some light wear consistent with age and use. A small loss on the front rim (please refer to pictures). The marble has a natural, weathered surface. No cracks or breaks, structurally sound and water tight.

Origin:

Salvaged from a town house in Lacaune, Southern France, ca. 1680
