A rare, mid-18th century, oval marble font carved out of Belgian "St-Rémy" marble, once quarried in the vicinity of the city of Rochefort. Nice "bird's beak" moulding on the upper rim. A few unobtrusive losses, scuffs and chips on the body (please refer to pictures). Structurally sound and in very good, usable condition.
