A rare, 18th century Breccia marble sink

A remarkable, rectangular Breccia marble sink with oval basin and tapered body. Carved out of the rare and highly decorative"Verdun" Breccia marble, once quarried in Southern France. In very good condition, with small losses and chips on the edges. No cracks or breaks, structurally sound. The top of the sink has a natural, weathered surface. The inner side of the sink is perfectly smooth and allows an easy evacuation of the water. Drain hole adapted to standard size, any drain strainer/plug will fit.

Salvaged from a town house in Narbonne, Southern France, ca. 1750
