A substantial, late 17th/ early 18th century, octagonal marble sink with domed base. Carved out of the beautifully veined "Rouge de Rance" marble, once quarried in Southern Belgium. Delicate chiseled and hammered finish on the body. Structurally sound and in excellent, usable condition. One loss on the upper edge (please refer to pictures). Minor, unobtrusive damages due to use and age.
Any modern, unslotted basin waste or drain plug will fit.
