A 17th century semi-circular stone sink

A rare semi-circular stone sink with tapered body. Carved out of the black "Pierre de Tournai" stone, formerly quarried in Southern Belgium. Beautiful rope decoration on the top edge. Chiseled finish all over the body. In very good condition, with small chips and losses commensurate with age and use. Diameter drain hole: 2,5cm / 1in. Inner height of the basin: 9,5cm / 3.75in.
